Un (masculine)

Une (feminine)

Des (plural masculine/feminine)

Eg:
(Masculine)                                     
A bookun livre
A cakeun gâteau
    A newspaper           un journal
A boyun garçon
A sonun fils




         (Feminine)                                                       
An ice creamune glace
A girlune fille
An eraserune gomme
A tableune table
A chairune chaise





Mettez au pluriel:
Un livre                 des livres 
Un gâteau              des gâteaux
Un journal             des journaux
Un garçon             des garçons
Un fils                   des fils
Un cou                  des cous
Un bijou                des bijoux
Un hibou               des hiboux
Une glace              des glaces
Une fille                des filles

Note:
Most nouns are made plural by adding ‘s’ to a singular noun)

Nouns ending –s,-x, -z in the singular, do not change in the plural.

Nouns ending with -eau and –eu normally take an –x in the plural.
Nouns ending with –al take – aux in the plural.
Certain nouns ending with –ou take –x in the plural.
