To brace

meaning: to prepare yourself physically or mentally (दृढ़ करना. सहारा देना)


Examples:
1. He had to brace himself after hearing the sad news of his wife's demise.
2. She braced her back against the screen.





To linger

Questions linger for those left behind: They clean your filth but what about their safety?


meaning: to remain alive, continue or persist (सोच विचार करना,  देर तक ठहरना)

Examples:
1. The fashion of Plazos seems to linger on next summer also.
2. During Diwali time we linger over sweets longer than any other festival.



To sack

meaning: Dismiss from employment or position, to attack a building or town ( बरख़ास्त करना, लड़ाई में हराना)

Examples:
1. He was sacked from his job for his bad behaviour.
2. After 1707, Nadir Shah of Persia sacked Delhi and plundered it.



To call off

meaning: to end an activity because it is no longer useful (रद्द करना)

Examples:
1. Due to heavy rains, the cricket match has been called off.
2. Call off your lawyers, let us work something out.



Infiltrator

meaning: spy or person enters into a territory secretly with hostile intention. (घुसपैठिया)

Examples:
1. Security forces identified the infiltrator and killed him.
2. Those infiltrators have caused a lot of damage to Kashmiri people.
